Mr & Mrs Crawford

“There is legitimate debate about when Ricky and Angie actually met. It could have been at any of the festivities held at Garon’s house in Macon while Garon, Angie, and Ashley were in law school together, since Ricky visited many times from Augusta over the years. It also could have been at Garon and Ashley’s wedding in upstate New York back in 2013. Ultimately though, they “formally” met when Garon threw a surprise 30th birthday party for Ashley in Augusta. For the months leading up to the party, Garon was playing matchmaker full-time. Ricky was told Angie was “the girl coming up from Miami,” who Garon repeatedly tried to have Ricky send awkward Facebook messages to prior to the party. (Ricky did not cave to Garon’s idea.) Angie was told that Ricky was “the tall guy” in their wedding, and that Ricky had a great house she was more than welcome to stay at during her visit. (That also did not happen.) Nevertheless, they all partied the night away, but little did they know, they would talk every day forward from the day they “formally” met. They planned a group trip to Nashville for 4th of July a few weeks later, where it became very clear to both of them that Garon just might have been right. Ricky was determined to melt her heart, dropping some seriously cheesy lines, constantly making her giggle and blush – completely mushy and different from the Angie so many know. The rest of that year was filled with trips everywhere together: Miami, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Cocoa Beach, Hilton Head, Amelia Island, Athens, and Augusta, topped off by Christmas in the Georgia mountains and Angie’s move to Atlanta. By the time the next 4th of July rolled around, they had planned a trip to Delaware. Little did Angie know, however, that the trip wasn’t just to visit friends and family: it was to celebrate their engagement. Ricky crafted a perfectly adorable proposal, involving both their dogs, Coco and Riley, just before they left for the airport. Angie cried like a baby (yes!), then they made their first flight as fiancés.”
